Essential women workers are important.

One in three jobs held by women are deemed “essential” during COVID-19. But this pandemic exposes deep inequities faced by low paid workers. At the same time, it is an opportunity for the collective power of essential Black, Latinx, and Asian women workers & their experiences to transform the modern American workplace for all of us.

Let’s follow the lead of women workers as we slowly emerge from the pandemic.

On October 21, 2021, women and gender expansive workers in low paid sectors, parents, advocacy partners, unions, and policymakers will convene across industries and sectors to share strategies and build power to improve the nation’s labor and care structures.

The Summit will feature worker action sessions, surveys and story collection, and policy/organizing strategy discussions.
